On November 5, the first "Intelligence X-Ray Image Evaluation Competition: Human vs. AI" concluded in Guangzhou. Organized by the CASEI, the event brought together over 20 central enterprises, universities, and research institutes, marking the industry’s first professional AI competition.

The contest included a main event featuring AI versus human experts, team competitions, and group challenges，as well as a challenge match. When AI competed against the expert team, it only took a few minutes to evaluate 20 films, which was much faster than the 30 minutes taken by the experts. However, the two sides were evenly matched in defect assessment, leaving the audience impressed.

 On November 6,, a seminar on "Digitization and Intelligence in Non-Destructive Testing" was held, attracting nearly 100 participants. Keynote speeches were delivered by Researcher Shen Gongtian from the China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute and Professor Fan Ruifeng from Peking University. Participating teams shared their AI technologies and application cases, discussed the development direction and difficulties of the industry, and also conducted in-depth exchanges on AI Research and Development  challenges and standard formulation, reaching a consensus. Participants highly praised the competition and suggested that it should be held on a long-term basis.

This event was held concurrently with another competition. It demonstrated the latest achievements in digitalization and intellectualization of the industry, highlighted the broad prospects of AI in the inspection and testing field, provided a platform for its innovative development, and also laid a foundation for the association to promote the transformation of the industry.图片13.pngAi.jpg
