About CASEI
Founded in 1990, the China Association of Special Equipment Inspection (CASEI) is a national, industry-wide, non-profit organization voluntarily formed in accordance with the law by institutions and technical experts authorized to engage in the inspection and testing of special equipment in China.
CASEI is supervised by the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau which is subordinate to the State Administration for Market Regulation. Special Equipment falls under eight categories of equipment posing significant risk to personal and property safety. These include boilers, pressure vessels (including gas cylinders), pressure piping, lifts (elevators), lifting devices, passenger ropeways, large-scale amusement facilities, and special purpose motor vehicles used in special fields.
Inspection and testing of special equipment, as a technical means of ensuring their safe production and operation, is significant for the maintenance of public safety and for social development. Since its establishment, CASEI has been dedicated to fulfilling its mission by making substantial contributions to technological advances in its field, supporting safety supervision, assisting with member development, and undertaking public welfare initiatives.
