From May 21 to 23, the CASEI hosted the "4th 'Xio Cup' Elevator Regular Inspection and Testing" in Hangzhou, which Co-organized by Hangzhou Xio Lift Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Polytechnic University. The event revolved around the theme "Strive to Be Craftsmen in the New Era and Promote High-Quality Development," Its goal was to enhance the expertise of special equipment inspection personnel through a nationwide technical competition while promoting greater standardization and professionalism within the industry.

The event drew 184 teams from 144 institutions across 30 provinces, involving 368 participants and 145 team leaders. With an additional 150 experts, judges, and support staff, the total attendance reached 650, making it the largest event of its kind to date. Assessments included theoretical exams, scenario-based evaluations, and hands-on practical tests. To ensure fairness and practicality of the assessment, the Association started preparations six months in advance and organized an expert group to prepare and modify 31 elevators for the verification process.

Following intense competition, most teams received a “Satisfactory” rating, reflecting the participants' high technical competence and dedicated professional attitude.

As the Association’s first proficiency verification initiative of 2025,similar programs will cover other special equipment categories, Such as power station boilers, pressure vessels, and long-distance pipelines.  Additionally, the Association has specially waived the participation fees for some underdeveloped regions and small and medium-sized institutions to strengthen the public welfare nature of the activity and promote the joint improvement of inspection standards and quality trust across the entire industry.
